About

I offer a warm, friendly, approachable and confidential, personal counselling service. I recognise that we all need various degrees of support throughout our lives and having time to talk and really be heard can be a transformational process. Counselling can really help.

I really value "relationship" and "being" in counselling and honour this respectfully. Having worked for various statutory and voluntary agencies & charities throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of people around issues such as anxiety and depression, relationship break-down, family concerns and family issues, personal identity, bereavement, low self-esteem, childhood abuse, drug and alcohol problems, work (and study) related stress, domestic abuse/violence and post-traumatic stress/trauma.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I have been qualified as a counsellor since 2007, having previously worked for various charities as a social worker (since 1992).
